FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: three seismometric stations and a wave recorder are used to determine the time and coordinates of formation of icebergs. Each seismometric station consists of two horizontal and one vertical seismometre. The seismometric stations are placed on continental ground at vertices of a triangle whose sides are no shorter than 200 m.
