PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble from being generated when a communication state between an in-vivo capsule type endoscope 10 and an in-vitro receiver 30 is not satisfactory, in a capsule type endoscope system 1 equipped with the capsule type endoscope 10, the receiver 30 and a magnetic field generator 20. SOLUTION: The magnetic field generator 20 includes a magnetic field generating part 23 for transmitting a control signal comprising a stop signal or a start signal to the capsule type endoscope 10, and a switch 21 for indicating transmission of the control signal, and the capsule type endoscope 10 includes an image transmission part 15 for transmitting an image acquired by an image acquisition part 14, an internal memory 17 for storing tentatively the image, a magnetic field reception part 11, and a control part 12 for controlling operations of the image acquisition part 14, the image transmission part 15 and the internal memory 17, based on the control signal.
