PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filtering laser data with high reliability. SOLUTION: The method for filtering the laser data takes, as an object, laser data groups 5, 5, ..., which are formed by computing three-dimensional coordinates of a reflecting point 4, based on the timing of acquisition of reflected light 3 obtained by sweeping a prescribed area on the ground with beams of laser light 2 from a flying body 1 flying high in the sky, and on the position and direction of emission of each beams of laser light 2, and which contain the three-dimensional coordinates of a plurality of reflecting points 4 obtained from the single laser irradiation light 2, while a digital surface model 8 having three-dimensional coordinates of the prescribed area is formed by stereo matching processing which uses overlapping photographed images 7 obtained by photographing the prescribed area from the flying body 1 by a camera in an overlapping manner and the photographing position and direction of each image. Then, an elevation coordinate value of the digital surface model 8 and that of each laser data 5 are compared with each other. The laser data 5 having the elevation coordinate value within a prescribed range in relation to that of the digital surface model 8 are removed from the laser data groups 5, 5, ..., and ground surface candidate data 6 are extracted.
