PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain remote synchronization control between USB peripheral devices without the intervention of a personal computer. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 conforms to USB On-the-Go, and includes a USB interface 55 for performing USB connection to another digital camera 1, and a USB communication control part 37 for controlling communication with the another digital camera 1 subjected to USB connection by the USB interface 55. The USB communication control part 37 includes a host mode control part 41 for operating its own device as a host side to control communication with another digital camera 1 of the device side, and a device mode control part 42 for operating its own device as a device side to control communication with another digital camera 1 of the host side.
