PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an image forming method and an image forming program, capable of preventing image quality from being deteriorated and performing an error-diffusion processing at higher speed. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes an input tool (CPU 8, input program 10A) to input an image value of each pixel of image data represented in a continuous tone, a first error diffusion processing tool (CPU 8, first error diffusion processing program 10C) to perform the error-diffusion processing with a first isotropic processing resolution in regard to colors having lower maximum-brightness than a prescribed value, and a second error-diffusion processing tool (CPU 8, second error-diffusion processing program 10D) to perform the error-diffusion processing with a second anisotropic processing resolution rougher than the first processing resolution in regard to colors having higher maximum-brightness than the prescribed value.
