PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polylactic acid-based plasticizer having an improved hydrolytic resistance, quality stability in long-term storage and an excellent compatibility with a polylactic acid in good productivity in producing a polylactic acid-based plasticizer by a polymerization reaction between a lactide and a polyether glycol. SOLUTION: The method for producing a polylactic acid-based plasticizer comprises, in producing a polylactic acid-based plasticizer from a lactide and a polyether glycol, carrying out a polymerization reaction in the presence of a catalyst under a pressure in the range of >101.3 kPa and≤304.0 kPa and adding a catalyst deactivator to the polymerization system.
