PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device capable of eliminating unnatural display, when changing scenes. SOLUTION: Occurrence of a scene change from an image of low brightness to an image of high brightness and generation of abnormality in a light source control amount is detected. When both of the events occur, the light source control amount is reduced to a value corresponding to the brightness of an input image. Thereby, an abnormal illumination state of unnaturally bright illumination of a screen by a backlight can be eliminated, preventing an unnatural display.
