PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing which is convenient for transportation or handling without needing a large space except for when a product is assembled, and can minimize the material to be wasted, and a control device using the packing. SOLUTION: The packing 1 includes diagonal portions 2a-2d and linear portions 2e-2g, and is made into a square shape by extending the adjacently opposed diagonal portions 2a-2d. Cut lines 3a-3h are formed at intersections of the diagonal portions 2a-2d and the linear portions 2e-2g, which are compressed when a packing body 2 is extended to the square shape.
