The method involves deriving time course of a breath curve that is expected after a time point from a time course of another breath curve (R) that is measured till to the time point, where the latter breath curve comprises multiple breath cycles. Moving velocity of an imaging system i.e. C-arc-x-ray unit (2), is controlled between different recording positions based on the derived time course of the breath curve. Images are recorded during measuring cycles that lie within the breath cycles. The measuring cycles are separated from each other by measuring pauses. An independent claim is also included for an imaging medical device for generating multiple images that are time successively captured, during recording of a time interval that comprises multiple breath cycles.
