PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous separator film having high heat resistance, excellent short-circuit preventing property and low internal resistance, and serving as a separator for a lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: The porous separator film includes a planar non-woven fabric base with multiple openings including non-conductive polymer fibers, and an inorganic whisker and binder polymer contained in the surface of the base and one or more regions selected from parts of pores present in the base.
