PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down pipe joint, which allows easy and sure attachment of a bar-like elastic body, and thus can use a short bar-like elastic body to reduce the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The down pipe joint 1 for cold district includes: a first receiving cylindrical portion 2 which receives and retains a lower portion of a down pipe; and a second receiving cylindrical portion 3 extended downward from the first receiving cylindrical portion 2, and inserted inside the upper end of the down pipe to retain the upper portion of the down pipe. Between the first receiving cylindrical portion 2 and the second receiving cylindrical portion 3, an inside step 4 and an outside step 5 are formed on the inner periphery and outer periphery thereof respectively so that the second cylindrical portion 3 is smaller in diameter than the first cylindrical portion 1. A plurality of bar-like locking projections 6 are arranged on the inside step 4 to protrude toward the inside of the down pipe joint 1, and the bar-like elastic body 7 is laterally held by tip portions of the opposed locking projections 6.
