The method involves deviating a travelling direction from a direction around a pre-determined displacement angle (alpha) such that pixels of an individual image excerpts are displaced transverse to the travelling direction, where the direction is perpendicular to a longitudinal extension of line arrays (20). The individual image excerpts are combined to an objective image with higher resolution transverse to the travelling direction than the resolution of individual line arrays. The arrays are formed for detection of a particular color so that the excerpts are provided as color separators. An independent claim is also included for a device for scanning the image.
