Disclosed is a bidirectional-receiver control server that controls setting information of a plurality of bidirectional digital-broadcasting receivers, and that is provided with a retention unit, a reception unit, an evaluation unit, an extraction unit, and a replying unit. The retention unit retains setting information of the plurality of bidirectional digital-broadcasting receivers, classified by a plurality of different types of identification information. The reception unit receives a request for setting information including at least one type of identification information, from an arbitrary bidirectional digital-broadcasting receiver. The evaluation unit evaluates, on the basis of the aforementioned at least one type of identification information included in the request for setting information, with which type of identification information the setting information of the bidirectional digital-broadcasting receiver is classified. The extraction unit extracts, from the retention unit, setting information classified by the type of identification information that was evaluated as being used for the classification. The replying unit sends the extracted setting information to the bidirectional digital-broadcasting receiver as a reply.
