PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image inspection system which can inexpensively and efficiently perform operation. SOLUTION: The image inspection system 10 for inspecting defects of an inspection object includes an image data processing system 2 inspecting images based on image data of the inspection object; an image data acquisition device 1 which can transmit electronic mail containing the image data to the image data processing system 2; and further includes an image transmission means 12 for transmitting the electronic mail containing the image data obtained by photographing to a mail processing device 5; a result mail reception means 13 for receiving the electronic mail containing an inspection result to be transmitted from a result mail creation and transmission means 53; and an output means 14 for outputting the received inspection result.
