PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for Crohn's disease of unknown cause and lacking radical therapeutic agent. SOLUTION: The prophylactic or therapeutic agent for Crohn's disease includes an organic acid polymer expressed by the formula [(O<SB>1/2</SB>)<SB>3</SB>Ge-A-CO<SB>2</SB>H]<SB>n</SB>(in the formula, n is 100-1,000; and A is lower alkyl). Preferably, the group A of the organic acid polymer is 1-3C lower alkyl and the polymer has a polymerization degree n of 200-900.
