PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein although a conventional additive for a permanent wave liquid, a straight permanent wave liquid, treatment or a coloring agent, and a conventional hair cosmetic such as a hair treatment and a hair lotion are added or coated, but the effects of the additive are hardly visible by the addition to the permanent wave liquid, the straight permanent wave liquid, treatment or the coloring agent, and the hair cosmetic such as the hair treatment and the hair lotion exhibits the effects by being used for several days while continuing the coating daily for several days, and ordinarily does not result when the use is interrupted. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic is used as an additive for a permanent wave liquid, straight permanent wave liquid, treatment or coloring agent, or hair treatment, hair lotion or the like. When used as the additive for the permanent wave liquid, the straight permanent wave liquid, treatment or the coloring agent, the hair cosmetic is used by adding 5-40% of propolis, and when used as the hair treatment, the hair lotion or the like, a proper amount of propolis is used by being coated on the hair, and being dried.
