<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a sol gel liquid where proper discharge condition is easily set and stable discharge operation is continuously carried out; an electromechanical conversion element using the sol gel liquid; a liquid discharge head using the element; and an ink jet recording device having the head. <P>SOLUTION: The sol gel liquid used when forming by an ink jet method an individualized electromechanical conversion film of an electromechanical conversion element contains: lead zirconate titanate (PZT) or; PZT and other metal composite oxides; and an organic solvent having characteristics in a region shown by A, B, C, D, E, F in a triangle composition figure (Fig.3) showing solubility parameter characteristics. Further, the liquid quality of the sol gel liquid satisfies the requirements (1)-(3) where: (1) the is 3-13 mPa s(milli Pascal second); (2) surface tension is 30±5 mN/m (milli Newton/meter); and (3) drying speed is 70-80% in a pure water proportion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
