PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer capable of turning on and off a lighting load with maintenance of a light control state while suppressing enlargement and deterioration of merchantability, and capable of protecting an operating member against an unexpected external force and suppressing error operations. SOLUTION: The dimmer 1 is equipped with an installation frame 3, a circuit portion 5, a rotating operation member 21, and a push operation member 25. The circuit portion 5 consists of a circuit board 7 arranged on the rear side of the installation frame 3 and various kinds of electric components mounted on this circuit board 7. In order to operate a rotating volume VR for setting a dimming rate of the lighting load, the rotating operation member 21 is connected to the volume VR by projecting to the front side of the installation frame 3. In order to turning on and off the push switch PS for turning on and off the lighting load, the push operation member 25 is arranged projecting to the front side of the installation frame 3, and is energized to the front by a coil spring (energizer) 30. One of the operation members out of the both operation members 21, 25 is made a cylindrical shape, and the other operation member is arranged inside this one operation member.
