The method involves providing a screw bolt (21), where an end (24) of the screw bolt has an external thread (18) and an internal thread (20) extending from a front end (27) along a bolt axle. A part of total bias force is applied on the screw bolt over the external thread, and residual part of the total bias force is applied on the screw bolt over the internal thread. The bolt end is provided for bolting the screw bolt with a screw bolt clamping apparatus (60), where the internal thread of the bolt end runs coaxial to the external thread. An independent claim is also included for a hydraulic screw bolt clamping apparatus comprising a supporting surface for supporting a screw bolt on machine parts.
