<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight storage container for plate-shaped body which has an improved strength. <P>SOLUTION: A storage container 10 for plate-shaped body is such that a main body 14 of a base unit 12 is made of light-weight aluminum alloy metal material 28 and an outer frame member 18 at the bottom part of the main body 14 is made of stainless steel having a higher Young's modulus than that of aluminum alloy. Only the outer frame member 18 at the base unit 12 is made of stainless steel to enable a container for use in storing stacked heavy weight articles 20 to attain a sufficient strength. Since only the outer frame member 18 is made of stainless steel, it is possible to attain a considerable reduction in weight as compared with that of the storage container having an iron plate arranged over the entire bottom surface of the base unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
