PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding structure of a lens barrel which can be constituted in a space saving state. SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes: an imaging device holding member that holds an imaging device at an image forming position of a photographic optical system; and an advancing/retreating member that is located in front of the imaging device holding member and can move in an optical axis direction. In the lens barrel, the imaging device holding member has, on a front surface of a cylindrical holding part holding an imaging device inside: an opening that permits incidence of subject light onto the imaging device; and a light shielding wall that is located around the opening and projects forward in an optical axis direction to prevent harmful light from advancing into the opening. The advancing/retreating member has a light shielding wall storing recessed part, into which the light shielding wall is allowed to advance when existing at a rear moving end in the optical axis direction closest to the imaging device holding member.
