PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration capable of preventing a packet loss in a network system having a route management server for controlling a transfer route of a packet in a network. SOLUTION: The network system includes: a buffering device for temporarily holding a packet and sending out the held packet in accordance with an instruction of a route management server; and the route management server which sets a transfer route of a packet addressed from a first node to a second node and sets, when changing the transfer route to a new transfer route, a transfer route via the buffering device.
