PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug checking device capable of eliminating the need for a number of checking devices. SOLUTION: The plug checking device includes eight-pole socket 11 to two-pole socket 13 each having a plurality of terminals which are to be in contact with connection terminals of a plug when a test plug is inserted thereinto, a Megger 31 and a tester 32 which are adapted to check electric conductivity of an object to be measured connected across measurement terminals, a NO1 change-over switch 22 that switches the terminals of the eight-pole socket 11 to two-pole socket 13 so as to connect the terminals to the measurement terminals of one of the Megger 31 and the tester 32, a NO2 change-over switch 23 that switches the terminals of the eight-pole socket 11 to two-pole socket 13 so as to connect the terminals to the measurement terminals of the other of the Megger 31 and the tester 32, and a controller 51 that controls the switching of the NO1 change-over switch 22 and the NO2 change-over switch 23 and determines whether the test plug is normal on the basis of the check results from the Megger 31 and the tester 32.
