PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid composition containing a polyester which forms a deposit being stable, easy to apply onto the skin or lip, exhibiting favorable retention with time, and in the case of a lipstick composition, optionally exhibiting favorable gloss, and is comfortable (particularly as a wand or other solid states compatible with a conditioning agent). SOLUTION: A non-therapeutic method for making up and/or treating nonfibrous human keratin materials, particularly, the skin, mucous or nails, includes a step of bringing the external surface of a piece of a solid cosmetic composition into contact or close to a heater to locally heat the piece so as to essentially soften only the external surface and lower its coefficient of kinetic friction, and a step of applying the heated external surface of the composition to an area to be treated. The solid cosmetic composition includes, in a pharmaceutically acceptable medium, (i) at least one polyester obtained by reacting a 4-10C tetraol, a 9-23C linear or branched saturated monocarboxylic acid, a 6-12C cyclic dicarboxylic acid, and a 7-11C aromatic monocarboxylic acid, and (ii) at least one solid fat substance selected from a wax, a paste fat substance and a mixture thereof.
