PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to enable easy input of a memo within a recent contact information list. CONSTITUTION: A memory(160) stores a recent communications list in which a plurality of contact information lists is included. The contact information list is updated every time a call is made or received. A display unit(151) displays a recent communication list of the memory. If specific contact information is selected from a recent communication list and an attaching target memo is established within a selected contact information display area, a control unit(180) attaches the set memo to the display area of the contact information.
