PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current consumption by individually stopping an operational amplifier, within a period of writing to a pixel. SOLUTION: The drive circuit includes a plurality of amplifier circuits OP1 to OP64, provided for each different gradation potential generated based on a reference voltage; and a control section 600 which individually controls ON/OFF of one amplifier circuit and the other amplifier circuits in each group, by dividing the plurality of amplifier circuits OP1 to OP64, which output adjacent gradation voltage, into groups by a unit of two or more circuits.
