The present invention relates to a freshly prepared mixture of creatine, or its derivatives and D-ribose, or its derivatives, for use in decreasing mild ischemic damage and for recovery of tissue from such damage. One preferred embodiment of the invention is a kit for preparation of an extemporaneous mixture of creatine and ribose, for reducing minor ischemic damage, comprising one container with D-ribose, or its derivatives, and one container with creatine, or its derivatives, together with appropriate instructions for mixing. |
