PURPOSE: A motor assembly for washing machine is provided to reduce the noise and solve the problem that strength of a rotor bushing is demoralized. CONSTITUTION: A motor(400) transmits power to a dehydration shaft and washing spindle by having the rotor and stator. A rotor bushing(535) transmits a torque of rotor by combining to a lower part of washing shaft. A sliding coupler(650) is combined or separated while descending according to the dehydration direction. The sliding coupler selectively transmits a dehydration shaft with a rotating force of a rotor bushing. A buffer member(540) prevent an impact when combine the sliding coupling to a rotor bushing. The buffer member is included in the rotor bushing.
