<p>The invention relates to an electrochemical process for carbide synthesis. The reaction mass is loaded into a light car () which enters in the preheating zone of a continuous furnace () and advances up to the reaction zone where it reaches a temperature of 1500 °C, when the electrodes () are activated. The light car stays in the reaction zone up to completing the reaction, then the electric current is interrupted. The gases leaving the reaction mass are burnt completely.</p> |
