PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent image printed matter of which the image changes into different images having no correlation at all under a case being observed under reflective light, and under a case being observed under transmitted light in the field of precious printed matters such as bank notes, passports, securities, identification cards, and traffic tickets which are security printed matters requiring forgery preventing effects. SOLUTION: The latent image printed matter has a printed image at least on part of a base material. The printed image is constituted of a background element group and an information element group. In addition, the background element group is divided into a first printing element group and a second printing element group. The first printing element group is printed with a first ink, and the second printing element group and the information element group are printed with a second ink. A correlative property is imparted in spectral reflectances of the information element, the first printing element, the second printing element and the base material, and a correlative property is imparted in the spectral reflectances of the information element group, the first printing element, the second printing element and the base material. Thus, the latent image printed matter which is superior in the truth/false discrimination and forgery preventing effects, which is constituted by forming a reflective image and a transmitted image, is provided by imparting the correlative property in the spectral reflectances of the information element group, the first printing element, the second printing element and the base material.
