<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handheld dehider that operated at almost constant speed when operated by applying a load and when operated without loading. <P>SOLUTION: A dehider 10 includes: a pneumatic motor 24 driving a pair of disk blades 12 and 14 in opposed cutting oscillations; and a governor 100 for controlling a speed of the pneumatic motor 24. The governor balls 122 acting as centrifugal weights move a valve head toward a valve seat by rotating with the pneumatic motor 24 and pressing an inclined flange down to the valve head. A motion of the valve head compresses a biasing spring 112 and limits the flow of pressurized air when a desired speed is exceeded. As the speed decreases, a centrifugal force is reduced. Then, the biasing spring 112 opens the valve to provide an additional power to the pneumatic motor 24. The disk blades 12 and 14 are equipped with a cylindrical middle lip 158, 160 that substantially increases the area of a central bearing at which a blade rotates and that gives an extremely long service life for the blade. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
