PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head mounted display device capable of preventing an observer from having a sense of fatigue even after his/her use for many hours and presenting an object to be observed to the observer with a feeling of as accurate distance as possible. SOLUTION: The head mounted display device 1 includes a visor (or a combiner) 21, a night vision module (an image intensifier and an optical system) 2, a head holding device 20 including them mounted on this, and an image transmitter 40 for projecting the image amplified by the night vision module into the visor (or the combiner) 21 through a main optical system 30. The image transmitter 40 is an imaging fiber 40 formed by bundling a plurality of optical fibers 41. The imaging fiber 40 is bendable, inputs an image through one ends 40a of each of the optical fibers 41, transmits the image, and outputs it through the other ends 40b of each of the optical fibers 41 to project the image.
