The pressure generator has chambers (1010,1020,1030) which are coupled with each other, where each chamber has a fixed predetermined volume. A filling area (100) is filled with a working medium in the operation of each chamber. A heating area (200) is heated in the operation of the working medium circulated in each chamber. The chambers are movable between the filling area, the heating area and an outlet area (300). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a heat engine with a fluid line; and (2) a method for generating a working medium.
