METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF SEVERITY AND PREDICTION OF COURSE IN HERPES VIRUS NEUROINFECTION WITH EPILEPTIC SYNDROME

A method for the assessment of the severity and the prediction of the course in herpes virus neuroinfection with epileptic syndrome provides for recording the rate and the duration of the attacks as well as the assay for tumor necrosis factor in the blood serum by ELISA technique. When the content of tumor necrosis factor exceeds 100 pg/mL, the state of the patient is assessed as severe with non-favorable course.
