A method of manufacturing wood-polymer plates concerns woodworking industry and can be used at the manufacture of the wood plates. In the method of manufacturing wood-polymer plates, due to the fact that as a modifying additive a mixture of commercial paraffin and polyvinyl alcohol is used, and the plates are pressed by flat method cooled in a cold press, an opportunity is provided for manufacturing ecological plates of high strength and water resistance. A method of manufacturing wood-polymer plates includes grinding wood particles, mixing them with chopped secondary polyethylene and a modifying additive, formation of a wood plastic mat or briquette, its hot-pressing and cooling the obtained plates. Novelty in the method is that as a modifying additive a mixture of commercial paraffin and polyvinyl alcohol is used and the plates are pressed by flat method under the pressure of 3.5 MPa, temperature 160-, duration 0.8-1.2 min/mm and after compression they are cooled in the cold press under the pressure of 1.5 MPa. |
