IMPROVED METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF SODA BEN METHOD

A method for the preparation of soda – Ben method consists in that carbon dioxide is produced from carbonate raw material by the reaction with hydrochloric acid. Ammonia is regenerated from ammonium chloride as a result of the reaction of its treatment with sulphuric acid in the presence of manganese dioxide or ore containing manganese dioxide. Hydrochloric and sulphuric acids for these methods are preparaed by hydrolysis of mixture of chlorine and sulphuric anhydride, where chlorine is produced from treatment process of ammonium chloride, and sulfuric anhydride – by sulphur burning.
