Disclosed is a diffraction grating lens which is provided with: a lens base; and a diffraction grating provided on the surface of the lens base. The diffraction grating comprises: a plurality of ring zones which respectively includes an inclined surface inclined in the across-the-width width direction; and a plurality of step surfaces respectively positioned between the ring zones. At least one of the ring zones is translucent in the whole of the across-the-width region and has lower light transmittance near at least either of the across-the-width ends than near the across-the-width center.
