PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can be easily carried and automatically obtains images with a plurality of image angles in which a target subject is arranged in proper size. SOLUTION: In photographing a person as a target subject, the imaging apparatus automatically controls a zoom magnification factor of a lens unit and an amount of shift of a light-incident position by an optical axis shift unit so that the face of the person may have a predetermined size and position on the basis of the face as a specific portion detected in an image and its size and position, and then photographs the subject.
