<p>An analogue to digital converter (1) comprises a plurality of circuits (8) each operable to convert an analogue signal into a series of digital pulses, wherein the number of pulses produced by each of the circuits (8) in a particular time period is related to the integral of the amplitude of the analogue signal over that time period. The plurality of circuits (8) are connected in parallel with each other. The circuits (8) collectively average noise towards zero and sample an analogue input signal (2) at a higher frequency than would be possible with a single such circuit.</p> |
