PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated metallic material for use in fabricating an aluminum electrolytic capacitor case, having excellent moldability and high thermal yellowing resistance. SOLUTION: The resin-coated metallic material including a metallic material 2 and a resin layer 3 covering the metallic material 2, with the resin layer 3 having a thickness of 2 to 22μm and containing an antioxidant 4, is characterized in that the concentration of the antioxidant 4 present in a segment having a thickness of 0.2 to 4μm disposed adjacent to the interface of the resin layer 3 and the metallic material 2 is from 0.01 to 0.25 wt.% with the thickness of the segment occupying 5 to 50% of the thickness of the whole resin layer 3, and the concentration of the antioxidant 4 present in the remaining segment of the resin layer 3 is from 0.4 to 7.5 wt.%.
