The method involves providing a thrust-fixed connection between a drive element and a new pipe (4) and pushing the element together with the new pipe in a forward manner from a start aperture to a target position. A guide head (12) is engaged with an old pipe (1) and connected with the new pipe in a directly or indirectly detachable manner.
