<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve proper recording parameter adjustment with respect to a multilayer optical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: For example, with respect to recording laser power, recording can not be performed by laser power which is regarded as optimized, when a position where another recording layer is in a recorded state is recorded with power adjusted when the other recording layer is in an unrecorded state, or conversely when a position where another recording layer is in an unrecorded state is recorded with power adjusted when the other recording layer is in a recorded state. A recording parameter is thereby adjusted and controlled, based on reflected light information previously detected before recording motion by for a region before recording as a target. The recording parameter is then adjusted by taking the influence of whether the other recording layer is in the recorded state or in the unrecorded state into consideration, and as a result recording quality is stabilized irrespective of whether the other layer is in the recorded or unrecorded state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
