PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer wall structure in a simple structure, which secures the fire-preventing and fire-resisting performance of a building while imparting the function of exterior thermal insulation thereto. SOLUTION: The outer wall structure 1 of the building 100 includes a plasterboard 11; a phenol foam 13 provided outside the plasterboard 11, the foam having a density of 20-60 kg/m<SP>3</SP>; and a metallic facing plate 15 provided outside the phenol foam 13. According to this outer wall structure 1, the fire-preventing and fire-resisting performances of the building can be secured while imparting the function of exterior thermal insulation thereto in the simple structure.
