摘要 Disclosed is a light emitting diode with an electrode and a clad layer which are not in contact with each other. A first electrode is formed on a substrate and a first clad layer is formed on an upper part of the first electrode. A plurality of pin holes are formed by selectively etching an insulating layer formed on an upper part of the first clad layer. A photoactive layer is formed in an inside of each pin hole and a second clad layer is formed on an upper part of the photoactive layer. A second electrode is formed on an upper part of the insulating layer and the second clad layer and the second electrode are not in contact with each other. A high voltage can be applied to a light emitting diode therethrough. In addition, the present invention can obtain high luminance by forming a plurality of individual light emitting structures in a narrow area.
