The arrangement (1) has a circulating tape (3) including a surface area serving as a running surface. A tape speed adjustment unit is assigned to a drive (29) and/or two running rollers (5) for adjusting a time varying tape speed as a function of a time-dependent moving parameter of an input signal representing a user. The moving parameter is acquired by a sensor system. Force sensors are arranged beneath the circulating tape. A sensor plate (7) determines distribution of pressure or force on the running surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a running tape arrangement.
