<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitive input device, along with an input function-equipped electrooptical device, capable of preventing parasitism of large capacitance between an input position-detecting electrode and a shield electrode layer, even when providing the input position-detecting electrode and a shield electrode on the opposite side to an input operation face side of a substrate for the input device. <P>SOLUTION: The capacitive input device 1 includes the input position-detecting electrode 21 on the opposite side (a second face 20b side) to the input operation face side (a first face 20a side) of the substrate 20 for the input device. A shielding film 8 is provided on the second face 20b side of the substrate 20 for the input device, and an adhesive layer 82 and a base material film 81 are interposed between the shielding electrode 83 and the substrate 20 for the input device.
