<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic imaging apparatus which needs a system compatibility over the entire range of long-distance (telescopic) to close-up imaging, and faithfully reproduces stereoscopic images on the display side without adjustment, in a stereoscopic imaging display system. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic imaging apparatus is provided, in which the imaging lens optical axes Φ(L), (R) in an imaging unit provided with imaging lenses and imaging devices S are arranged so as to be laterally parallel, and the distance between the optical axes D<SB>L</SB>is is set to the interpupillary distance B of a human. One reference window W<SB>ref</SB>is set as a virtual view frame in the image viewfield of the imaging unit. In the state in which the reference window W<SB>ref</SB>is projected to form reduced images by means of the left and right imaging lenses, the left and right imaging devices S are arranged to match the width of the left and right projected images I<SB>ref</SB>(L) and I<SB>ref</SB>(R) of the reference window, and left and right image data is read and sent as reference stereoscopic image data. A stereoscopic imaging apparatus is provided which is based on the stereoscopic imaging apparatus, and which enlarges or reduces the distance between optical axes to greater or smaller than the interpupillary distance and is adapted for a wide range of imaging, from long-distance imaging to close-up imaging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
