PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance efficiency in emitting white light by using a fluorescent material or combining light emitting diodes with various colours. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device(100) includes a body(10), an insulating layer(12), electrodes(31,32) and a reflecting layer(40). The insulating layer is formed on the surface of the body. The electrodes are formed on the insulating layer. The light emitting diode is connected to the electrodes. The reflecting layer, in contact with a part of an upper side of the insulating layer, reflects the light radiated by the light emitting diode.
