PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the possibility of selecting a connection terminal to which a different source device is connected by a sink device when transmitting video data from a source device to the sink device. SOLUTION: Before a command for making an external device (200) select a connection terminal to which the communication device (100) is connected is transmitted to the external device, whether or not a connection between the external device and the communication device is effective is determined. When determining that the connection between the external device and the communication device is effective, a device information acquisition module (103b) acquires device information including the latest physical address allocated to the communication device by the external device from the external device, and a transmission module (103d) transmits the command including the latest physical address to the external device.
