PURPOSE: Oxynitride-based phosphors for emitting green light are provided to ensure high luminous efficiency and excellent reproducibility and to enable use for high power LEd chips due to stable heat. CONSTITUTION: Oxynitride-based phosphors include oxynitrides represented by chemical formula of M_xA_yO_xN_(4/3)y as a phosphor mother material. The oxynitride-based phosphor discharges the light having the peak wavelength of '500~560 nm by irradiating an excitation source having the peak wavelength of 350~480 nm. In chemical formula, M is at least one Group II element selected from the group consisting of Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and Zn; A is at least one Group IV selected from the group consisting of C, Si, Ge, Sn, Ti, Zr, and Hf; and x and y satisfy 1.5<=x<=4 and 0.2<=x/(x+y)<=0.9.
